During everyone's daily activities throughout life,  we get overwhelmed with paying bills, work challenges in our jobs, parental responsibilities, relationship stresses, and life disappointments, which can eventually start to affect our overall health. Stress can cause eating disorders, high blood pressure, heart disease, and certain forms of cancer.

The primary goal of self-care is to prevent or manage disease and maintain your overall well-being by consistently attending to various aspects of your health.  For a person to practice true self-care, they must exercise personal responsibility and self-reliance in a way that positively impacts their health, both in the present and in the future.

It's everyone's responsibility to take the time out of their daily grind to stop and take time out for self-care, mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually, which will lead to a long and lasting healthy life.
