A More Reactive Raid Experience

Snowfield of Grief is being presented as a mechanics-driven raid rather than an encounter centered on rigid party synchronization. NCSoft specifically highlighted its decision to avoid mechanics resembling a cyber boot camp, where every member has to execute an exact sequence simultaneously. Instead, the new Sanctuary emphasizes the ability to recognize danger and react immediately.

This design places more responsibility on individual players. Watching the boss, recognizing an incoming pattern, and responding after a visual cue will all be important. Players who pay close attention should have opportunities to improve through experience, while groups can develop strategies based on how they interpret the encounter.
